Currently referred to as Project M50, the new order is the third in 12 months for Italian yacht builder Mondo Marine and will be the fourth 50 metre hull in this model. Delivery is set for early 2016.
The M50 will be built to ABS Class standards and will feature structural, hydrodynamic and technical design by Mondo Marine Engineering and exterior styling by Hot Lab Studio & Design based in Milan, Italy. She will sport a flowing line exterior design and a distinctive coloured hull as per the owner’s request.
The tri-deck superyacht will be constructed in aluminium and will have a displacement of under 500 gross tons. She will also boast a nine metre beam, 2.3 metre draught and spacious sun deck.
The M50 will be equipped with twin MTU 16V 2000 M84 engines each with a maximum power capacity of 1,630 kilowatts at 2,450 revolutions per minute. With an expected range of 3,500 nautical miles at 12 knots, she is expected to have cruising speed of 17 knots and a maximum speed of 20 knots.
